I love quilts, especially antique quilts, either applique or pieced, and I want to share my journeys in quilting ! But, my "Threads and Treasures" sometimes include embroidery, painting, or spinning wool and weaving or knitting with them.
It is great that you are visiting, and I hope you feel at home here. I would love it if you left a comment. Or you can - email - me, if you like.

I like Ascension Day, even though it is not even a Bank Holiday in this country. But I have lovely memories of my childhood in Holland. Somehow the weather was always beautiful on this day. First we went to church, and then in the afternoon we went for a walk, and watched the queue of cars trying to get over the bridge. And there was always a special treat - an ice-cream!
Today is also a special day because I finished my last block for Hope's quilt!
And I also made the stars that are going to be appliqued around this block.
I did not design this quilt myself. When we were in rented accommodation last November, all our furniture, and all my fabrics were in storage. All I had with me was my Dear Jane quilt, and a Baltimore block.
When I was browsing the internet, missing my fabrics, I fell in love with a Nursery Rhyme quilt from Australia. I ordered the patterns and some fabric, and started soon after Christmas. So now I can start to put it together. So exciting!
Hello, welcome to my blog! My name is Jane. I was born in Holland, but have been in Britain for more than 30 years.
I am a Christian, and love quilting, embroidering, spinning, weaving, reading, writing, painting, gardening and music, especially J.S.Bach. And I fell in love with sheep when we lived in Scotland and had some sheep of our own! I am married to a lovely Englishman, and am mother of a son and a daughter who are both happily married too. I am also grandmother of three lovely little ones.
I hope you will enjoy my blog, and leave a comment!
Voor de Nederlanders die op bezoek komen: ik spreek en schrijf nog steeds vloeiend hollands.
