I love quilts, especially antique quilts, either applique or pieced,
and I want to share my journeys in quilting !

But, my "Threads and Treasures" sometimes include embroidery, painting, or spinning wool
and weaving

It is great that you are visiting, and I hope you feel at home here.

Spring in Wales

Hanging out the washing today in bright sunshine, but it felt like winter!!
The cherry tree outside my sewing room is in blossom and looks very beautiful. When we moved here in January I did not dare to hope that this would be a blossoming cherry!

From across the valley I took a photo of our new bungalow. It looks nice among the big trees.

Outside it is cold, but inside it is cosy beside the woodburner. I am still making blocks for Hope's quilt. Only two more to go!

And I am still quilting my Dear Jane. The aim is one block per day, but that does not always happen....

In between making a quilt for Hope and quilting Dear Jane, I try to do some stitching on my garden sampler.

This is just to give you an idea of the things I am doing at the moment.
Have a nice evening.

The view of your house in the distance could be the view from our verandah in Normandy, and behind the view of the cherry tree could be our verandah! I love your dear Jane quilt. A huge amount of quilting - how many blocks?

Jane, I have the greatest admiration for 'Dear Janers'! And your quilt blocks are beautiful! Are they your own design? Where can we see the others?

Jane, an afterthought: if you want people to link straight to your blog from eg an email, you need to show it as:
