I love quilts, especially antique quilts, either applique or pieced, and I want to share my journeys in quilting ! But, my "Threads and Treasures" sometimes include embroidery, painting, or spinning wool and weaving.
It is great that you are visiting, and I hope you feel at home here. I would love it if you left a comment.

As many of you know, I was on Facebook for a while, really for my quilts, and to meet my old quilting friends who were no longer on the Yahoo groups. Which is why I called myself Jane Quilter on Facebook. And this was my profile picture.
Of misschien had iemand mij gerapporteerd. But Facebook perhaps thought that Quilter was not a real surname (although there are lots of surnames like 'Quilter' and 'Patch' etc), and so I was removed. Or perhaps someone reported me. No possibility of contacting anyone (FB is manned by robots) or to be able to change it, so I shall now continue happily without Facebook, and I hope to write my blog more often! I shall also restore my old website, where I can put everything more orderly, with my tutorials, and all my Dear Jane blocks etc. It is still under construction. In the meantime I shall carry on with my Mary Simon block.
Hello, welcome to my blog! My name is Jane. I was born in Holland, but have been in Britain for more than 30 years.
I am a Christian, and love Biblestudy, reading, writing, painting, quilting, embroidery, spinning, weaving, gardening and classical music, especially J.S.Bach. And I fell in love with sheep when we lived in Scotland and had some sheep of our own! I am married to an Englishman, and have two children.
I hope you will enjoy my blog, and leave a comment!
Just in case you want to contact me, my email is: jnewble at gmail.com

"But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this? In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind." Job 12:7-10
