On Easter Monday our daughter with her family came. It was lovely, and she had brought a whole load of home made cakes. They go really well with applique...!
Yesterday afternoon my husband wanted to go to the river Tywi. "Do you want to come?" Yes, why not? We drove past a beautiful old ruined castle, and in the distance are the Black Mountains. They are white now.
The mountains come closer....
Then we go past a farm, over the railway, to the river......
This is the old tree that my husband wants to saw up for firewood.......because it is still winter, and very cold...!! Do you see all the stones? I can never resist searching, as there are always some beautiful ones.
We live by this river too, but this was a bit further into the mountains. Prince Charles lives somewhere near this place.
This is the view to the other side. There is not a lot of grass in the fields yet.
My beloved was sawing wood, with a hand-saw, nice and quiet, and I sat with my applique in the Landrover in the sun! A few hours later we went home again.....
Isn't that an amazing grey stone from the river? You could almost use him as a template! In the meantime I had finished the cockerel.
This is what the postman brought from America......I never have to be bored again...;o)
Enjoy your day!
