"If you go down in the woods today......Als je vandaag naar het bos gaat

you're sure of a big surprise....."
"Today's the day the teddybears have their picnic".....That lovely song that you can't get out of your mind when you have heard it again...

It all started with this fabric and this pattern....

I can't remember when or where I bought the fabric, but I could not resist it. So.... when I was thinking about this "Skeery Woods" block, I suddenly got it. Of course, the Teddybear's picnic! Here is the whole block:

There will be some more teddies, when the next block is ready, and the hill from that can overlap on this block.
And of course it comes from Sue Garman's pattern 'All Around the Town', available from honeybeefabrics.

On Easter-Monday we went to a ploughing-match. Lots of lovely old tractors and ploughs, and also a few horses...

Afterwards we went to a farm where the grass had been mown, and was collected for silage by a big John Deere Forage Harvester. I was invited to come along in it for a while - it is far above the ground - very exciting!

And the view was nice...

En er was een mooi uitzicht..

Now it is back to work!

I love your "Skeery woods" block...and the teddies are such a delightful addition. Your quilt is going to be incredible!

My "All Around the Town" took Best of Show wall hanging this week at the Sauder Village Quilt Show in Ohio. I am so humbled and thrilled. But they hung it SIDEWAYS! LOL! I guess it is hard to tell. When I saw the picture on Facebook I nearly died. I very nicely emailed them and asked them to turn it clockwise 90 degrees! (or tell people to tilt their head sideways to the left to view it!) I will be there on Friday to see the show in person! Funny...too funny!

In stitches,
Teresa :o)

That teddy bear block is too sweet! You almost make me want to start quilting with blocks like that :) Definitely better than skeery!

Lijkt me super, een beren picknick.

Groetjes, Carolien
