"Tutti Frutti Border..."

The border on the right is finished! It is a mixture of allsorts, but it looks nice.
It is mostly the border as it is in the original Bird of Paradise quilt, but not all of it.
From top right down comes first the fruit...

Then two birds who are very contented....

Een paard....

A horse....

Another horse, with two stowaways.....(click on the picture to see it better)

And last of all a squirrel, where there was a vulture in the original...

We won't talk about the weather...The wire in the picture is the phoneline, they are still above ground here..
En nog even de hele rand..

Here is the whole border...

Have a nice day(lovely weather to sit by the fire to start on the last border!)

Jane

Wat gebruik je toch een mooiestoffen. Die paarden zijn echt plaatjes.

Wat heb je de paarden prachtig gemaakt. Lijkt me heel moeilijk.

Super super super Jane.

Jane, another beautiful border! I'm still in awe of how quickly you work. The horses are amazing. Have you given thought to your next project? Hmm?..............
You don't want to talk about your weather? Here, it's only supposed to be in the 50s, with 20-30mph winds. Rain on and off all weekend; and it's a holiday weekend here; Memorial Day-official start of summer! lol

I enjoyed reading your blog Jane. Applique is my first love as well. Your applique is beautiful. I love Caleb's quilt; did you design the pattern? Lovely! Will any of your quilts be in the Hever Castle Quilt Show? I will be visiting England and Wales from the United States and plan to attend the show.
Happy Stitching, Marcia
