Civil War Bride blocks...........Civil War Bride blokken

This was the first block I made of the Civil War Bride quilt, last year in spring. We had spent three months in rented accommodation on a farm in Wales, until we had found and bought our house. All my fabrics were in storage during that time. When I see this block I remember the joy of seeing and stroking my fabrics again...!!

After that I made the block with strawberries....

Daarna maakte ik het blok met aardbeien....

And a few days ago I finished the third block....

It is a lovely quilt to make. You can see more photos here. (click)
Have a nice day

Fijne dag
Jane

In your first block, it is interesting use of fabric to have the horse centered on the vase. I have enjoyed seeing your three blocks. I know you have lots of stitching to do on the project yet.

Jane, you have done such beautiful work with this quilt! Two days ago, I went to the Folk Art Museum in New York and looked at the quilt that started all this. Your quilt has a lot more color than the original. Well done!
