A cosy House......Een gezellig Huisje

This looks like a fun house to live in. Come to think of it, it does remind me of our house. Nice extra roof for a veranda, high conifers where the wind blows through, and a lovely quilt-room with a nice view, what else does one need?

Oh, and of course the 'grannies' as we call them, our lovely grandchildren, looking out of the windows....

So, now I have started on the last house, but there are soooo many windows,  I counted at least 13!
perhaps I could try the sewing machine method again...surely it can't be that difficult?...

Three hours later... perhaps it is.... for me, anyway. The house will be too narrow, so take off some walls, and substitute wider fabrics....
Fortunately, there is Mr. SeamRipper, always very helpful...

Drie uur later... nee dus!
How do I get into such a state? Perhaps my brains are only geared up for applique... I don't suppose my ruler is faulty...? If only I lived in Holland, I would go and visit someone who makes beautiful quilts on the machine, for example Jeannet..... She could do with some cheering up anyway...
And now I have to fabricate a British flag for the Flag House (the last block!)
Bye for now,

Well done.

Groetjes,
Inge

Your pine house is just beautiful, and what a lovely touch to add the faces of your lovely "grannies."

I had a couple of false starts with piecing the windows for houses, so I just ended up appliqueing them...and I think I GREATLY reduced the number of them as well, LOL. JUst call me lazy! I can't wait to see your British flag...that will be a cool modification!!

In stitches,
Teresa :o)
